Palat sent it out down the middle and Eberle batted it down or intercepted it and passed it to RNH. Didn't go straight to RNH.
Drouin looked really good. If that's his 1st NHL game I can't wait to see his 20th |

Drouin showcased some serious skill. On Justin Schultz goal was that a brain fart on drouin or was that part of the system to let him walk? Honest question - don't watch the bolts enough.
Connolly had a game. We need to lock down that slot better.
I'm very impressed how marincin/fayne/nuge lined up Againat stammer. |

Last Lightning win in Edmonton, unless I've missed it while going back through the schedule, was March 7... 2007! |

Tough to say. Combination of errors I think. Brewer just sort of let him walk out front too. |

I don't know if its just me but I feel like our first line plays to much of a corners and cycle game. All the games I've watched so far the top line usually spends most of the time in the corners cycling or digging pucks out. While that's not a bad thing and should be done when needed I feel like it would benefit palat and stamkos more to be creative and carry the puck into the zone. Maybe I'm looking to much into it. Side note Jonathan Drouin looked amazing out there. He is very deceptive with his passes and body jukes. I wouldn't mind keeping him on the second line with a guy like Johnson. Oh and maybe Connolly starts to get more time on that second line since flip was playing with stamkos and Johnson was centering the second line when calls was out |

I didn't get to watch last night. With Hedman out, is Cooper going to start utilizing Garrison on the first PP uni? |

Brewer was standing like a traffic cone on the play. Every time they play in Edmonton its a Lets see who can make a pretty play mentality and a east west instead of a north south game. As for checking as CorsiJimbro 83 would say forgetaboutit. 5 hits through two periods? Carle on the top line? I don't see him as the type to step up and take over. Only one game and Coop will put the brakes on the fancy play b.s.quickly or this could be an ugly road trip. At least Gudas will be back tonight for some hitting, Cally and Killorn down too not good. Time for a short memory and back to basics until they figure out lines and pairings. |

Worse game of the season, the defensive zone play was horrible and they could not breakout of their own end. The F and D looked lost defending. I think losing Hedman is a bigger deal than most thought. They gave up more rushes against Bishop in this game then they had all year.
Already down Gudas and Hedman to lose Killorn and Callahan in one day. I guess the injury bug is still on this team. Connolly and Drouin I'm sure will be in the top six so we will see what they got. I agree Palat needs to step up his game again.
Let's hope they play their game tonight against Calgary and come away with a W, if they shore up the defense without Hedman a little and get some sustained offensive zone time they might be able to get the W. |

That usually works for that group because they've got speed. The problem last night was that the Oilers had speed too. Tampa kept dumping the puck in, but Edmonton had no problem retrieving it and moving out of the zone quickly. |

The slot is wide open when it's open! Not sure why our 2 D both want to cover the forward behind the net...(obviously on the oppositions game tape).........all the fricken time. Our centre needs to come back deeper and cover the slot. Not sure but better be fixed in another game or 2. That being said, it's getting better and nowhere near at bad as it was just 3-4 games ago. |

I don't understan. Garrison has that booming shot and Stralman is the more reliable even strength/pk defender. What do you think the rationale is? |

Need to mention bishop who was on point. He robbed us a good 4 or 5 times.
To think we could have had him for Ryan jones and a 3rd |
